About Plano's Public Recreation

The Parks and Recreation department of the city of Plano hosts 67 differing parks that include ball parks, trails, playground, and nature preserves. The Oak Point Park and Nature Preserve located just east of HWY 75 is a nature park that Plano manages that includes a fishing lake, dirt trails, picnic tables, and many areas where wildflowers grow. These things make Oak Point a great place to get away from the concrete jungle of the city and escape to a little bit of nature. Plano also manages 6 different pool facilities including water slides, lap pools and lazy rivers.
